Heeding my own advice from yesterday’s post, I have beautiful scented candles from Dusk burning and hauntingly moving cello music by Yo-Yo Ma playing in the background as I type this post. This piece Gabriel’s Oboe is perhaps more popularly known as Nella Fantasia, made popular by Sarah Brightman. While the vocal version is beautiful as well, there is a unique tone in the cello version that is unsurpassed, IMO. In fact, I loved this piece so much that we used it for our bridal processional in our wedding. It sounded beautiful on the day, played by the Regent String Quartet, as I was walking down through the trees in the gardens of Rippon Lea Estate.
